Fixed & Removable Appliances

For our patients in Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and Port Charlotte, it's good to know the basics of fixed versus removable appliances. Dr. Norton secures fixed appliances, like braces, to your teeth, which stay put until your treatment concludes.

Conversely, if Dr. Norton suggests a removable option like Invisalign, you'll sport those clear trays most of the day but can pop them out when needed.

Beyond the clear-cut differences, we use Invisalign for lighter orthodontic fixes. For the heavy lifting, Dr. Norton typically goes with fixed appliances.
